As The Bank That Listens®, SIS Bank works to answer and support the needs of its surrounding communities. SIS is therefore pleased to announce its donation of $4,500 to the Southern Maine Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery Association in support of the Association’s most recent memorial project.
The Southern Maine Veterans’ Cemetery (SMVC), located in Springvale, is a well-cared-for cemetery for U.S. veterans, and includes features like the Memorial Walkway, the Service Monument and a Military Museum Display. Since 2014, the Southern Maine Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery Association has been raising funds to erect a monument in honor of the area’s POW/MIA veterans. The donation made by SIS will help the Association to close in on its fundraising goal and will go towards the cost of one of 13 tablets that will make up the monument at the SMVC.
“Our country’s military veterans deserve our thanks a thousand times over,” said SIS Bank President & CEO Blaine Boudreau. “We’re humbled and honored to be able to help support the Southern Maine Veterans’ Cemetery and the Association to recognize those who have fought and given so much for our country.”
